Emma Wynne

Emma is both Managing Director and a Senior HR Consultant. With experience in both the public and private sector and a MA in HRM, Emma’s knowledge - and more importantly her ability to apply it - is formidable.

Emma also lectures in HR for both the University of Northampton and for the flexible learning provider for the CIPD, including Masters-level qualifications. Nothing gives her more pleasure than seeing her students’ progress, some having since reached the dizzy heights of HR Directors in large organisations. A number of Gateway clients are successful former students of hers.

Finally… Emma is a very engaging event speaker (recommendations can be seen on her LinkedIn profile).
Most recently in November 2011 she presented at the National CIPD conference in Manchester. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her young family, reading and taking dance lessons.

David Wynne

David joined Gateway HR in 2011 from a career in Purchasing. In his role as Finance and Operations Manager Dave works to make sure all our clients get a seamless and excellent service. He also ensures that Emma and Maria do not spend all the profits on their not so-secret addiction: stationery gadgets.

Outside of the business Dave is a keen cyclist and can quite happily clock up 70 miles in a day when he gets the chance.

Maria Parsons

Maria’s outstanding organising and systemising abilities and customer service skills have been indispensable in making Gateway HR what it is. She was our very first employee when she joined in 2010 after 10 years as a product specialist in an office supplies company. She is currently studying for her Certificate in HRM, so that she is even more able to help clients when they call in to the office for some quick advice.

Maria works part time in order to make the most of those precious years before school with her young family. When she has a spare five minutes she loves curling up with a good book.

Emma Johnson

Emma started with us in November, and we are excited about having her working with us. She will be working closely with Maria to continue developing our services and ensuring all runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Lou Crossman

Lou’s focus areas are customer service and executive recruitment. Some of her projects can be seen in the training and specialist projects part of this site. Lou works with clients who have to make redundancies and want to offer outplacement services in the form of CV writing and interview skills coaching. Lou is genuinely passionate about delivering the best for individuals and organisations. Feedback has invariably been great - one client was so pleased they offered her a job!

With Gateway she has worked with organisations including HMRC, Job Centre Plus, Kettering General Hospital and SureStart. Outside of work, Lou enjoys interior design, trips to the cinema, and makes the most amazing cupcakes!

Judith Rowntree

Judith has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources across a range of sectors including: manufacturing, financial services, education and the public sector. She has a Masters degree in Law and Employment Relations and is a full member of the CIPD.

Lisa Cessford

As Operations Manager for a large team within the leisure sector, Lisa was often faced with employee and procedural issues that she felt could have been handled better. She decided to pursue a career in HR, and now has 10 years experience within both the public and private sector.

Lisa has worked on the following: Restructure, Redundancy & TUPE transfers both in and out; HR Strategy; Dealing with Trade Unions; Harmonisation of Terms & Conditions of employment; Preparation of ET cases; Complex discipline, grievance & sickness absence cases; Drafting contracts of employment & employee handbook; and Project Management.

Lisa is passionate about HR. She believes it is far more than quoting employment legislation and informing companies of the cost of getting it wrong – it is about adding value by getting the most out of their greatest asset - their people.
